Looking for the best travel gifts for men? The traveling man in your life will love (and actually use!) these unique gift ideas.

33 Best Travel Gifts for Men (That He'll Actually Want!)

Shopping for travel gifts for men? It’s no easy feat—I know because I am the ultimate nightmare when it comes to gift-giving. Nobody ever knows what to get me for the holiday season, or even my birthday which *cough, cough* is right around the corner.

But despite never telling my friends and family exactly what it is that I want, I have a knack for ending up with all the best travel gadgets and gear.

That’s why I put together this gift guide. It’s a list of my favorite travel gifts (including a few on my wishlist). So if you’re looking for the best travel gifts for men, or even just the best gifts for men in general, these unique gift ideas are sure to please.

These are the best travel gifts for men that I could find!

1. Ridge Wallet

Almost every man is in need of a new wallet and this one is sleek, stylish, and ultra-safe. The Ridge Wallet can hold up to 12 cards, despite its thinness. It’s made with RFID-blocking materials to shield credit cards and debit cards from skimmers, and it comes in aluminum, titanium, or carbon fiber. Despite its weightlessness, the Ridge Wallet comes with a lifetime warranty!

You can also add a few extras to the wallet, including a Cash Strap or a Money Clip (I picked the Cash Strap—but it’s a personal preference, really). This makes a great travel gift for your best friend, boyfriend, brother or loved one. For the safety-minded traveler who likes to keep tabs on his valuables, this wallet is a perfect addition to his travel gear.

2. Tashtego Toiletry Kit

For the organized man, the Tashtego Toiletry Kit is a much better alternative to those clumsy, bulky toiletry bags. It’s designed like a neat and organized tool roll so he can keep his items clean, organized, and wrapped up in a tidy bundle. If there’s any doubt about how cool this product is, it raised $150k on Kickstarter!

The Tashtego Toiletry Kit has a compartment for just about everything and can hold 16+ items, including his razor, toothbrush, toothpaste, sunblock, floss, deodorant, body wash, mouth wash, eye drops, nail clipper, and more. No more rooting around in a messy bag—he can even pop the Tashtego in the washer to clean it up.

3. Menlo Club

Menlo Club is the gift that keeps on giving! This is an apparel subscription service for men that will deliver a curated package of clothing to his doorstep every month (or seasonally).

Just fill out the style survey and then he’ll receive two items per package on average (usually a t-shirt and pair of pants to start) from LA-based brands Five Four, New Republic, Grand Running Club, or Melrose Place. I’ve got quite a few pieces and can attest to the fact that they’re very high quality.

If the clothing doesn’t fit, he can always send it back or exchange it for free. Easy.

NOTE: Menlo Club is running some pretty sick deal for Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

By far the best deal includes a Melrose Hoodie, Melrose Tee, Sept Henley, Navy Boweries and Will/Ferdi Denim Jeans or Black Cali Chinos—all for a very reasonable price point of $59!

Just use the code MENLOBFCM59TB at check out.

4. NOMAD Rugged Smartphone Case

I love the NOMAD brand, and their wide range of smartphone cases for both iPhones and Androids are all beautiful and functional. Their Rugged line is made up of stylish American-made Horween leather cases that can also take a beating. In fact, the leather actually looks better with time.

Some of the NOMAD phone cases also fit the Moment smartphone lenses, and others come in a folio-style to hold credit cards and other valuables. I’ve been using NOMAD’s smartphone cases for three years, and can’t see myself using anything else—ever.

5. Forsake Phil Mid Hiking Boots

No gift guide would be complete without a pair of hiking boots! And with Forsake, he doesn’t have to sacrifice comfort for style. With a pair of Forsake Boots, he’ll be able to trek up a mountain and also be back in time—and dressed—to go out for dinner.

Personally, I love the versatile Forsake Phil Mid boots . They’re rugged, breathable, but also stylish enough for everyday wear. And since they’re made from waterproof leather, he can leap from puddle to puddle while keeping his feet and socks bone dry.

If you’re looking for travel gifts for men, this classic shoe is durable enough to withstand the harsh elements, no matter the terrain.

6. SAXX Sleepwalkers

Give your loved one the gift of comfort with a set of SAXX Sleepwalkers. Their ultra-soft shirts and pants are made with moisture-wicking modal, which will keep him sweat-free throughout the whole night.

And unlike their normal pajama set, the Sleepwalker pants come with what they call a Ballpark Pouch. This 3D hammock-shaped pouch protects his most precious body parts during the night—it’s like a bra for his balls. And although he might not want to admit it, he’ll definitely thank you for looking out for his manhood!

In fact, I’ll go ahead and thank you for him right now. My balls have never felt so supported.

7. REI Gift Card

REI Gift Card

Can’t make up your mind on what the best gifts for the traveler in your life might be? Let him decide by giving him an REI Gift Card!

From sporting gear and equipment to outdoor clothing and footwear, REI has a variety of products that every adventure-seeker could possibly want. And I mean, literally everything. Car racks, paddleboards, and set of ski poles? REI has it covered. Sunglasses, carry-on luggage, and doggy travel accessories? Yep, they’ve got that too.

The best part about getting a gift card is you can set your own price point and let him do the shopping for you.

8. LIVSN Flex Canvas Pants

Pants

The LIVSN Flex Canvas Pants are perfect gifts for the light traveler. They’re designed to be super tactical but without looking that way—they’re durable but extremely comfortable outdoor pants that are tailored to fit all body types. Plus these pants come with all kinds of handy extras to make life easier, like a roll-up leg system, ventilation and zippered security pockets.

Made with sustainable 7.3oz EcoFlex Canvas, the LIVSN pants will look great on him whether he’s hitting the trails or grabbing a pint at the local watering hole.

9. Deckers Lab X-Scape Shoes

Deckers Lab X-Scape Shoes are high-performance sneakers that are just as comfortable as slippers (seriously—they’re the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn). They’ve been called the home workout sneaker of the year, so if you’re shopping for travelers who’ve been working from home these past few months, he’ll love this versatile footwear.

Not only are they comfortable, but the Deckers Lab X-Scape Shoes also regulate foot temperature so his feet won’t overheat. The cushioning in the midsole offers excellent support, and there are lots of styles and colors to choose from—with new product drops happening all the time.

10. JBL Flip 4

The JBL Flip 4 Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker is the one item I never travel without. It’s durable, so he can take it pretty much anywhere he wants like the beach or just his hotel room. And despite it’s small, compact size, this Bluetooth speaker has pretty incredible sound quality.

Even better, the battery lasts up to twelve hours. He can strap it to the outside of his backpack for some tunes while he’s hiking or just drop it into the water bottle pocket of his backpack—it fits perfectly.

11. ESPRO Travel Coffee Press

The ESPRO Travel Press  is a bonafide French press coffee maker crossed with a standard thermos. Just because he’s traveling doesn’t mean he has to settle for bland, instant coffee.

Not only can he bring his favorite blends and beans on the road, but it’ll keep his caffeine hot for the entire day! Perfect for travelers and caffeine-addicts alike, this insulated thermos will easily be one of his favorite travel gifts of the year.

12. The Helinox Chair One

The Helinox Chair One is your classic camp chair…but on steroids. It’s compact and, at 2.10 lbs, it weighs less than a bottle of wine (that’s an actual spec given by the company, by the way).

The Helinox Chair One is made with an advanced proprietary aluminum alloy that holds up to 320 lbs of weight. It’s super fast to set up, and it comes with a five-year warranty. If he’s got an adventurous spirit, this will be a handy addition to his outdoor gear.

13. Arc’teryx Squamish Hoody

If you’ve ever been to Squamish, BC, you know that it’s a hotspot for climbers, skiers, and trekkers—an apt namesake for this hoody!

Arc’teryx’s Squamish Hoody is a windshell that folds up into its chest pocket to form a neat little lightweight package that’s easy to take wherever he goes. It’s essential for wind protection and unpredictable weather, and it comes with an adjustable hood.

14. Well Told Drinkware

You can’t go wrong with a thoughtful and personalized gift, and that’s why Well Told’s map drinkware is one of my favorite gifts for men this year.

Whether it’s a map of his hometown or home state imposed on a stemless wine glass, or a map of his favorite European city displayed on a rock tumbler, a piece of Well Told Drinkware will definitely deliver a smile.

If he’s an aviation geek, you can also choose airport and runway codes. There’s a whole range of drinkware to choose from as well (including non-alcoholic containers, like coffee mugs).

15. Vessi Travel Shoes

These might be the only set of shoes he’ll ever need for traveling—literally. Unlike most sneakers, Vessi travel shoes  are completely waterproof, which means rain and dirt roll right off, keeping his socks happy and dry. With three different models and multiple colors, the guy in your life can pick the style that’s right for him.

And don’t even get me started on comfort! Vessi shoes are breathable, flexible, and super lightweight. With stretchy vegan fabric, maximum support, and soft-gel heels, he can say goodbye to sore feet forever. I wrote a whole Vessi review about how much we love these shoes.

16. Peak Design Tech Pouch

The Peak Design Tech Pouch  is a game-changer when it comes to staying organized while traveling. Made from 200D recycled nylon canvas, this tech dopp kit is ultra-organized and perfect for carry-on bags. The origami-style pockets have plenty of space, zipper compartments, and storage slips for every type of accessory.

Although it’s small and compact, the organizer manages to fit a ton of items with a lot of room to spare. Essentially, every item has it’s own pocket and slot, so there’s no fumbling for cords or documents when you need them urgently. For traveling men who like to pack their gadgets, this one’s a no-brainer.

17. Kindle Paperwhite

Kindle Paperwhite

The Kindle Paperwhite  is, without question, the best e-reader on the market. It’s a touchscreen and has a 6″ 300ppi screen with a built-in light and WiFi. Best of all, the battery life lasts for weeks, so he’ll never have to worry about bringing a charger on vacation.

Not only is the Kindle Paperwhite a travel essential, but it also gives him access to over a million books in the Amazon marketplace. He can load up his device and read whatever he wants, wherever he wants.

18. Bluffworks Field Jacket

Every traveling man deserves to have a comfortable jacket. And the Bluffworks Field Jacket will probably be his new favorite piece of clothing!

With ten different pockets and compartments, he’ll be able to carry everything from sunglasses to a tablet wherever he goes. That’s a lot of pockets!

But best of all, this travel jacket is super stylish. Unlike other utility jackets, which can look touristy or ugly, the Field Jacket is perfect for exploring the outdoors or for sightseeing in the city.

19. Tile Pro Bluetooth Tracking Device

The Tile Pro attaches to pretty much any item (like keys or a backpack) or the slim version slides into a wallet, passport, or a pocket in your luggage. With integrated Bluetooth, he can easily ring his Tile and locate the last place he had it. This is definitely one of the best travel gifts for men who seem to always misplace their valuables!

Most importantly, if your luggage gets stolen and it has a Tile inside, you can find its location on a map when it passes within range of anyone else in the Tile community (which is huge, by the way). And even if you’re not traveling around the world, you can still use Tile to locate your items at home.

20. O’Douds All Natural Solid Travel-Friendly Cologne

Large bottles of liquid cologne make great gifts for men but they just aren’t practical to travel with, so get him a bar of O’Douds All Natural Solid Cologne . O’Douds carries scents like Cedar & CitrusBay RumOrchard  and Forest —a scent for every guy who travels.

Even better, it’s a small (.3 oz) and easy-to-carry version of cologne that he can stash in his carry-on luggage! And since it’s not a liquid, he won’t have to fumble for it in this luggage when going through airport security when traveling.

21. Moment Smartphone Lenses

moment lenses for your smartphone

If the man in your life uses his smartphone as his primary camera, then Moment Lenses will make the perfect gift for him. These smartphone lenses easily attach to a phone using a thin metal mounting plate. They can be snapped on and off, which makes taking great photos a breeze.

With wide-angle, telephoto, and fisheye lenses, the photo results are seriously impressive. They’ll turn basic photos into amazing shots that look like they were taken with a DSLR or mirrorless camera! This is one of our favorite gifts for men who love photography.

22. WANDRD VEER 18L Packable Daypack

The ultra-light WANDRD VEER 18L Packable Daypack is one of the best travel gifts for men who like to pack light. Unlike other backpacks which can be heavy and bulky, this packable daypack rolls up into a small pouch, and then you can inflate the back panel for support.

And if he’s planning to bring a camera, then you can purchase the inflatable camera cube, which adds an extra layer of protection for your expensive equipment.

23. Peak Design 45L Travel Bag

Ideal for photographers as well as everyday travelers, the Peak Design 45L Travel Bag will be his new favorite carry-on bag. With expandable side pockets and loads of compartments, he can fit his camera gear and still have space for clothes and toiletries.

Essentially three bags in one, it can be used as a large daypack or expanded to 45L for maximum storage. And if he’s looking for more customization, then there are a variety of packing add-ons and modules for purchase. The sheer versatility of this bag makes it one of the best travel gifts for men, hands down.

This bag has a lot of features and comes at a higher price point, so I definitely recommend reading my full Peak Design Travel Backpack 45L Review here.

24. Give’r Gloves

For the guy who’s always tackling the outdoors, get him what he really needs. Give’r Gloves are the warmest insulated gloves on the market today.

Made from cow leather, these fire and waterproof gloves can withstand a variety of elements, as well as temperatures between -40 and 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Seriously.

He’ll love using them for travel, skiing, ice-trekking, or even fire building.

25. YETI Rambler Tumbler

The small, compact YETI Rambler Tumbler is a must-have for the traveling man. Whether he’s road-tripping across the country or spending the day on his fishing boat, he’ll have the coldest (or hottest) drink on the block.

And with the tumbler’s magnetic and shatterproof lid, he won’t have to worry about spilling if he hits any speed bumps. Best of all, he can toss the whole thing in the dishwasher once he’s finished.

26. NOMAD Slim Leather Wallet

It’s hard to find a durable wallet that holds everything while traveling without being too bulky. However, the minimalist NOMAD Slim Leather Wallet does just that.

It manages to stay slim while comfortably holding up to 12 cards. There are even two side pockets to hold all your cash. And, it comes with an integrated Tile tracking system, so you’ll never have to wonder if you left it at the restaurant or in the back of a cab when traveling.

Made with American Horween leather, this wallet will stand the test of time. And the leather ages over the years, it will still remain one of the most sophisticated items in his pocket.

27. Cord Tacos

We all know the pain of trying to untangle our headphones and cables from a knotted mess. Cord Tacos  are simple in concept, but they’re one of my favorite travel products of all time. These taco-shaped pieces of leather have a button snap to keep your headphones and other cords from getting tangled into knots.

As someone who isn’t the most organized, I can honestly say these tacos have spared me from intense headaches! So, if you or your friend need a bit of help in the organization department, then make sure to purchase a few of these clever gifts.

28. “Keep Calm and Travel On” T-Shirt

Keep Calm and Travel On T-Shirt

We all need a reminder to stay calm once in a while…and that travel solves everything, right? This t-shirt is a classic take on the one popularized by The Chive, except this one suits any man with a love for traveling.

It’s perfect for that tailored look under a sweater or sweatshirt, or to wear by itself with a pair of jeans. And since it’s made from stretchy cotton, it will keep him cozy and comfortable on those long-distance flights or car rides. He can pack it with him for his adventure as a simple reminder to think about the important things in life.

29. LifeStraw Go Filtered Water Bottle

Not only is buying bottled water expensive but throwing out plastic bottles is harmful to the environment. If you’re looking to cut down on single-use plastic bottles, then look no further than The LifeStraw Go Filtered Bottle. It’s the solution for healthy, drinkable water.

The built-in filter purifies water of bacteria and viruses from the city tap or river. Now, you won’t have to worry about him getting sick by drinking from unknown sources.

Ideal for camping, hiking, or even traveling to developing countries, this bottle is one of our favorite travel gift ideas for men. Plus, it tops our list of best travel water bottles!

30. Midori Traveler’s Notebook

The Midori Traveler’s Notebook  is so beautifully crafted that he will want to write in it every day. 31. Cotopaxi Sueño Sleeping Bag

With an integrated pillow pocket and spacious foot box, the Cotopaxi Sueño Sleeping Bag is the perfect sleeping bag for any type of adventure. Made with 800-fill duck down, you’ll feel as if you’re sleeping on a cloud while traveling in the wilderness.

Best of all, it will keep you warm and cozy for hours, even when the temperature dips down to 15 degrees at night.

Techies will love the built-in media pocket, which keeps all types of gadgets and accessories securely in place. And on warm nights, the sleeping bag can fully unzip to become a lay-flat blanket. At just under 3lbs, you can easily bring it on as a carry-on in for your backpacking or hiking trip!

34. Anker PowerCore Portable Battery Pack

We’ve all suffered the pain of a draining phone battery. In times of need, you’ll wish you had the Anker PowerCore  by your side to give your phone a little extra juice. Despite its small size, this portable power bank packs a huge punch and is by far the best we’ve tried.
