Favorite Travel Gifts for Men

1. Ridge Wallet

Almost every man is in need of a new wallet, and this wallet is sleek, stylish, and ultra-safe. The Ridge Wallet can hold up to 12 cards, despite its thinness. It’s made with RFID-blocking materials to shield credit cards and debit cards from skimmers, and it comes in aluminum, titanium, or carbon fiber. Despite its weightlessness, the Ridge comes with a lifetime warranty!

You can also add a few extras to the wallet, including a Cash Strap or a Money Clip (I picked the Cash Strap—but it’s a personal preference, really). This makes a great travel gift for your best friend, boyfriend, brother or loved one. For the safety-minded traveler who likes to keep tabs on his valuables, this wallet is a perfect addition to his travel gear.

2. Tashtego Toiletry Kit

For the organized man, the Tashtego Toiletry Kit is a much easier alternative to those clumsy, bulky toiletry bags. It’s designed like a neat and organized tool roll so he can make sure his items are clean, organized, and wrapped up in a tidy bundle. If there’s any doubt about how cool this product is, it raised $150k on Kickstarter!

The Tashtego Toiletry Kit has a compartment for just about everything and can hold 16+ items, including his razor, toothbrush, toothpaste, sunblock, floss, deodorant, body wash, mouth wash, eye drops, nail clipper, and more. No more rooting around in a messy bag—he can even pop the Tashtego in the washer to clean it up.

3. Menlo Club

Menlo Club is the gift that keeps on giving! This is an apparel subscription service for men that will deliver a curated package of clothing to his doorstep every month (or seasonally).

Just fill out the style survey and then he’ll receive two items per package on average (usually a t-shirt and pair of pants to start) from LA-based brands Five Four, New Republic, Grand Running Club, or Melrose Place. I’ve got quite a few pieces and can attest to the fact that they’re very high quality.

If the clothing doesn’t fit, he can always send it back or exchange it for free. Does it get much easier?

NOTE: I teamed up with Menlo Club to get you a pretty sick deal!
You can get your first package for just $20 bucks.

4. NOMAD Rugged Leather Smartphone Case

I love the NOMAD brand, and their wide range of smartphone cases for both iPhones and Androids are all beautiful and functional. Their Rugged line is made up of stylish American-made Horween leather cases that can also take a beating. In fact, the leather actually looks better with time.

Some of the NOMAD phone cases also fit the Moment smartphone lenses, and others come in a folio-style to hold credit cards and other valuables. I’ve been using NOMAD’s smartphone cases for three years, and can’t see myself using anything else—ever.

5. Forsake Halden Hiking Boots

No gift guide would be complete without a pair of hiking boots! And with Forsake, he doesn’t have to sacrifice comfort for style. With a pair of Forsake Boots, he’ll be able to trek up a mountain and also be back in time—and dressed—to go out for dinner.

Personally, I love the versatile Forsake Halden boots. They’re rugged, breathable, but also stylish enough for everyday wear. And since they’re made from waterproof leather, he can leap from puddle to puddle while keeping his feet and socks bone dry.

If you’re looking for travel gifts for men, this classic shoe is durable enough to withstand the harsh elements, no matter the terrain.

6. Luno Car Air Mattress

Luno Car Air Mattress

The Luno Air Mattress 2.0 is one of my favorite new products this year. Each one is custom cut to fit perfectly into the back of specific vehicles for overland camping trips. You can find mattresses specifically made for SUVs, crossovers and hatchbacks from Jeep, Toyota, Subaru, and—quite honestly—almost any other brand out there.

This isn’t the standard camping air mattress. The adjustment valve sets the firmness, and it fits two people up to 6’2” tall. It’s about the most comfortable sleep he’ll get in the back of his car (trust me, I know)!

7. SAXX Sleepwalker

Give him the gift of comfort with the Sleepwalker from SAXX. Their ultra-soft shirts and pants are made with moisture-wicking modal, which will keep him sweat-free throughout the whole night.

And unlike their normal pajama set, the Sleepwalker pants come with what they call a Ballpark Pouch. This 3D hammock-shaped pouch protects his most precious body parts during the night—it’s like a bra for his balls. And although he might not want to admit it, he’ll definitely thank you for looking out for his manhood!

In fact, I’ll go ahead and thank you for him right now. My balls have never felt so supported.

8. REI Gift Card

REI Gift Cards

Can’t make up your mind on what the best gifts for the traveler in your life might be? Let him decide by giving him an REI Gift Card!

From sporting gear and equipment to outdoor clothing and footwear, REI has a variety of products that every adventure-seeker could possibly want. And I mean, literally everything. Car racks, paddleboards, and set of ski poles? REI has it covered. Sunglasses, carry-on luggage, and doggy travel accessories? Yep, they’ve got that too.

The best part about getting a gift card is you can set your own price point and let him do the shopping for you.

9. LIVSN Flex Canvas Pants

The LIVSN Flex Canvas Pants are perfect gifts for the light traveler. They’re designed to be super tactical but without looking that way—they’re durable but extremely comfortable outdoor pants that are tailored to fit all body types. Plus these pants come with all kinds of handy extras to make life easier, like a roll-up leg system, ventilation and zippered security pockets.

Made with sustainable 7.3oz EcoFlex Canvas, the LIVSN pants will look great on him whether he’s hitting the trails or grabbing a pint at the local watering hole.

10. Deckers x Lab X-SCAPE Shoes

The Deckers x Lab X-SCAPE series are high-performance sneakers that are just as comfortable as slippers (seriously—they’re the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever worn). They’ve been called the home workout sneaker of the year, so if you’re shopping for travelers who’ve been working from home these past few months, he’ll love this versatile footwear.

Not only are they comfortable, but the Deckers x Lab X-SCAPE are lined with wool so they superbly regulate foot temperature so his feet won’t overheat. The cushioning in the midsole offers excellent support, and there are lots of styles and colors to choose from—with new product drops happening all the time.

10. JBL Flip 6

JBL Flip 4 Bluetooth Speaker

The JBL Flip 6 Waterproof Bluetooth Speaker is the item I never travel without. It’s durable, so he can take it pretty much anywhere he wants like the beach or just his hotel room. And despite it’s small, compact size, this Bluetooth speaker has pretty incredible sound quality.

Even better, the battery lasts up to twelve hours. He can strap it to the outside of his backpack for some tunes while he’s hiking or just drop it into the water bottle pocket of his backpack—it fits perfectly.

11. The Helinox Chair One

The Helinox Chair One is your classic camp chair…but on steroids. It’s compact and, at 2.10 lbs, it weighs less than a bottle of wine (that’s an actual spec given by the company, by the way).

This chair is made with an advanced proprietary aluminum alloy that holds up to 320 lbs of weight. It’s super fast to set up, and it comes with a five-year warranty. If he’s got an adventurous spirit, this will be a handy addition to his outdoor gear.

12. Vessi Travel Shoes

Vessi Cityscape

These might be the only set of shoes he’ll ever need for traveling—literally. Unlike most sneakers, Vessi travel shoes are completely waterproof, which means rain and dirt roll right off, keeping his socks happy and dry. With three different models and multiple colors, the guy in your life can pick the style that’s right for him.

And don’t even get me started on comfort! Vessi shoes are breathable, flexible, and super lightweight. With stretchy vegan fabric, maximum support, and soft-gel heels, he can say goodbye to sore feet forever. Plus, because they’re made of mesh, they collapse and pack into your bag in a cinch. The perfect travel shoe.

I wrote a whole Vessi review about how much I love these shoes.

14. Leatherman Squirt PS4 Mini Multi-Tool

Measuring only 2.25 in. in length and weighing less than 2 oz, the Squirt PS4 multi-tool is small enough to take along on every adventure.

The stainless steel body of this multi-tool houses a pair of regular pliers, needle-nose pliers, scissors, 3 screwdrivers, wire cutters, replaceable tweezers, a wood/metal file, straight knife, and a bottle opener. Could he possibly need anything else?

15. O’Douds All Natural Solid Travel-Friendly Cologne

Large bottles of liquid cologne make great gifts for men but they just aren’t practical to travel with, so get him a bar of O’Douds All Natural Solid Cologne. O’Douds carries scents like Cedar & CitrusBay RumOrchard and Forest—a scent for every guy who travels.

Even better, it’s a small (.3 oz) and easy-to-carry version of cologne that he can stash in his carry-on luggage! And since it’s not a liquid, he won’t have to fumble for it in this luggage when going through airport security when traveling.

16. ESPRO Travel Coffee Press

ESPRO Travel Press

The ESPRO Travel Press is a bonafide French press coffee maker crossed with a standard thermos. Just because he’s traveling doesn’t mean he has to settle for bland, instant coffee.

You can’t go wrong with a thoughtful and personalized gift, and that’s why Well Told’s map drinkware is one of my favorite gifts for men (and all travelers) this year.

Whether it’s a map of his hometown or home state imposed on a stemless wine glass, or a map of his favorite European city displayed on a rock tumbler, a piece of Well Told Drinkware will definitely deliver a smile.

With integrated Bluetooth, he can easily ring his Tile and locate the last place he had it. This is definitely one of the best travel gifts for men who seem to always misplace their valuables!

Most importantly, if your luggage gets stolen and it has a Tile inside, you can find its location on a map when it passes within range of anyone else in the Tile community (which is huge, by the way). And even if you’re not traveling around the world, you can still use Tile to locate your items at home.

The Anker PowerCore is slim and light, making it a perfect travel gift

We’ve all suffered the pain of a draining phone battery. In times of need, you’ll wish you had the Anker PowerCore device by your side to give your phone a little extra juice. Despite its small size, this portable power bank packs a huge punch and is by far the best we’ve tried.

The Cabeau Evolution S3 Neck Pillow

This is the best travel pillow I’ve ever used in my life—no word of a lie. With the Evolution S3 neck pillows, Cabeau has worked hard to create next-evolution neck pillows with both front-chin support and side support. If you have ever suffered from sore necks or headaches, then you won’t want to travel without this bad boy.

It’s incredibly soft and comfortable and, best of all, straps securely to your seat, which means it holds your head firmly in place. No more neck pains or head bobbing with this pillow!
