As a travel freak, I have been fortunate enough to visit many places in the world. Having traveled to 22 countries on 3 continents — a huge thanks to studying abroad in college — I have seen and experienced an array of different sceneries and cultures. While I can honestly say that I’ve enjoyed every place I’ve visited, the one that stands out the most for me is the Amalfi Coast. It was love at first sight.

The Amalfi Coast is a stretch of coastline on the Sorrentine Peninsula that separates the Gulf of Naples and the Gulf of Salerno in southern Italy. The mystical island of Capri, which is just a short boat ride from Sorrento, and the colorful picturesque city of Positano are the gems of the Amalfi that took my breath away. Even Dolce and Gabbana have used the island of Capri as the background for their Light Blue fragrance line — it’s just that beautiful.

So, if there is one place that you SHOULD visit, it’s the Amalfi Coast. Hands down. And while you’re there, here are 10 things that you must do when visiting this magical place!

1.  Ride a cable car to the top of Anacapri

Anacapri is a commune on the tiny island of Capri that is located at a higher elevation than Capri. With just a 13 minute cable car ride, you can reach the top of Anacapri where you’ll witness one of the most breathtaking views in the Mediterranean.
