snow photos around the world

Are you dreaming of a Winter Wonderland? We certainly are. Not only are snowy mornings relaxing, but snow also makes already gorgeous places even more beautiful. We took a look at how snow transforms the cities we love, but these snow photos below take us outside of the city centers and into the great outdoors. Snow has taken over the pine trees, lakes, rivers, and mountains, and the results will leave you breathless.

What’s even more stunning about these snow photos from around the world, is how pristine and untouched the snow looks. It’s undisturbed by busy streets of people, and it is cold enough to not turn to slush by the afternoon. Growing up, snow days consisted of waking up early so we could play in the snow before it melted. So maybe the crazy amount of snow is only cool for me because I’ve never experience the Wisconsin winters or the mountainous regions of Argentina. Granted, Argentina’s winters are between May and September because it’s located in the Southern Hemisphere.

So whether you fancy your snow days inside with hot cocoa or outdoors having a snowball fight, these snow photos will not disappoint. And we strongly suggest you visit these places while snow is on the ground.

Sydney Pereira is a student at New York University trying to change the world while simultaneously making enough money to travel when she's not studying or writing. She's also an athlete, music-lover, and avid news reader. When she's not exploring NYC, fresh flowers from the farmer's market and a cup of hot tea on a lazy Saturday are equally fulfilling.

  1. Hi Sydney,

Greetings from The City! I usually blog from some tropical locale but am spending this week in NYC.

What a fab list of shots. We’re getting a storm tomorrow but looks to be all rain here. Snow in of my home state of NJ, in the northern part at least.

Wisconsin is my fave, with the doggies.

    Thanks for sharing!
