Cambodia is a country of lush green jungles, winding rivers, culture, stunning wildlife and archaeological wonders. As such it is a natural destination to head to as it makes for a truly amazing vacation. If this is your plan and if you can do it, you should apply for a Cambodian eVisa as they are quicker and faster than applying for a conventional visa. With this in mind, let’s take a close look at how to apply for your eVisa and the countries that can do so.
Applying for a Cambodian eVisa
Applications for a Cambodian eVisa are made online. Here, you complete the online form and submit your details. Information you need to provide includes:
First and last name
Travel plans such as flights and accommodation details
Supporting documentation. This takes the form of a copy of the photo and biographical page of your passport
Once you submit the information applications are normally approved within four days. To be safe it is a good idea to apply a few weeks in advance so should issues arise you can sort them out in time for your trip.
Once approved the visa will be valid for up to three months.
The eVisa is emailed to you. When you go to Cambodia you need to bring your passport and this has to be the same passport you used to apply for your visa. The eVisa is for tourism purposes and it allows up to 30 consecutive days of travel in the country.
Over two hundred countries are eligible for an eVisa but for a few, there are exceptions where requirements are slightly different:
Chinese, French, German and Australian citizens need to supply a passport size picture of you when making the application and your passport needs to be valid for a period of six months. When traveling to Cambodia you must print out your visa and bring that with you to enter the country.
